As a St. Louis wedding planner, I’ve had the joy of working in all sorts of spaces from elaborate ballrooms to lush garden hideaways. St. Louis truly has a venue for every style of celebration.

Over the years, I’ve learned which spaces offer the best design opportunities, which ones flow best for large guest counts, and which ones deliver that warm, welcoming experience couples and their guests will remember forever.

Below, I’m sharing my personal list of some of the best wedding venues in St. Louis. These are the spaces I consistently love, recommend, and look forward to returning to. My hope is that this helps you find the setting that feels like the perfect fit for your wedding day.

Westwind Hills

Westwind Hills has a way of feeling both grand yet inviting, which is why it’s one of the St. Louis wedding venues I’m always excited to return to. 

The ceremony space is flooded with natural light and framed by their signature arched window, which is breathtaking in person and even better in photos (seriously!). Just steps away, the reception hall brings in warm white oak details and a modern aesthetic that works wonderfully with any design style.

Plus, their team is super hands-on, and with exclusive access to the entire property, your wedding day feels elevated and fully your own.

What I love about Westwind Hills

I appreciate how thoughtfully the venue is laid out for couples: the two-story bridal suite, the groom’s room, the covered veranda where you can cozy up with a cocktail by their newly-added fireplace — everything flows effortlessly. When you’re here, the entire day feels smooth and genuinely special.

Silver Oaks Chateau

Silver Oaks Chateau is my go-to when a couple wants a St. Louis wedding venue that feels straight out of the French countryside. From the moment you drive up, the stone chateau, winding paths, and 28 acres of rolling Missouri landscape make everything feel oh so romantic and completely tucked away from the city. 

Inside, the Grand Hall’s tall windows and warm wood details create a stunning backdrop for both ceremonies and receptions, while the outdoor spaces (especially the fireplace patio and lawn!) provides options for open-air celebrations. And because they offer thoughtfully designed onsite accommodations, it’s an easy place to turn your wedding into a full weekend experience with your favorite people.

What I love about Silver Oaks Chateau

I love how much flexibility couples have here. You can choose from multiple ceremony locations that all feel completely different, then move into a cozy reception without ever feeling rushed. Their team is thoughtful and organized, and the onsite accommodations at the Chalet is such a gift! It lets everyone settle in, relax, and really savor the celebration instead of trying to squeeze everything into one day.

I’m always impressed by how seamlessly events flow here: garden and lakeside ceremonies, indoor spaces with huge open doors, and thoughtful touches throughout that make everything feel elevated yet easy. With so many beautiful pockets around the property, Knotting Hills gives couples countless opportunities to make their celebration their own.

What I love about Knotting Hills

I just love this spot for full wedding weekends! Between the spacious bridal and groom’s suites and all the onsite accommodations (from cozy studios to large houses), everyone can kick back and unwind instead of rushing from place to place.

Grant's Farm

You may have visited Grant’s Farm for the rides or one of their iconic seasonal events, but did you know you can host a wedding here too? There’s a fun, nostalgic energy here that guests absolutely adore. Between the historic buildings and the character woven in throughout the property, it’s a venue that brings personality and warmth to every celebration. The Coronado

The Coronado is one of those St. Louis wedding venues that just stop you in your tracks the second you walk inside.

It’s spacious enough for a large celebration but still intimate and warm once the lights dim and the dance floor fills.

What I love about The Coronado

It’s rare to find a historic venue that delivers both architectural character and genuine hospitality, but The Coronado absolutely nails it. I love how each room has its own personality, which makes transitions between ceremony, cocktails, and reception feel like stepping into an entirely new space.

For couples dreaming of a truly upscale wedding experience, The Ritz-Carlton St Louis delivers that classic “luxury hotel” magic right in the heart of Clayton. What I love about the Ritz-Carlton St Louis

With delicious onsite dining, luxe accommodations, and multiple spaces that can host everything from welcome drinks to farewell brunch, it’s one of the best choices in St. Louis for couples wanting a full wedding weekend in one beautiful place.

Wild Carrot

Wild Carrot is such a fun and vibrant St. Louis wedding venue! It has this super cool and artsy vibe that makes every celebration feel modern and one-of-a-kind. 

Located in the historic Shaw neighborhood, the space blends its century-old theater roots with a fresh, industrial-meets-creative aesthetic. An open floor plan and private outdoor green space give couples so much flexibility to design a celebration that truly reflects their style.

Every time I’m there, I’m reminded why this building has been a St. Louis icon for more than a century.

Whether you host your celebration in the Grand Hall, one of the ballrooms, or even in the aquarium, the entire experience feels grand, historic, and so special.

What I love about Union Station

Their culinary team is wonderful, the staff is attentive, and having the hotel on-site is such a perk for guests. And if you’ve never seen the 3D light show in the Grand Hall — trust me, it’s pure magic! It turns an already stunning room into an unforgettable moment your guests will talk about long after the wedding.

Stifel Theatre

Stifel Theatre is a top-tier option for couples who want their big day to feel like an iconic St. Louis celebration. This historic venue has been beautifully restored, and you can feel its rich, glamorous history in every corner of the space from the marble-lined lobby to the grand stage.

Oh, how I adore the Missouri Botanical Garden! Every corner feels like a painting. With 79 acres of curated gardens, historic architecture, and bold seasonal color, it creates a peaceful, romantic backdrop no matter the time of year. 

Whether you’re drawn to the Spink Pavilion and its reflecting pools, the modern Bayer Event Center, or one of the many outdoor ceremony spots (the rose gardens and Japanese Garden are two of my favorites!), every space feels intentionally designed and surrounded by natural beauty.
